FC Anyang Vice Captain Han Ka-Ram shares his experiences

FC Anyang midfielder and vice captain Han Ka-ram spoke to K League United about how he had to adjust to returning to Korea, being vice captain and what 'zombie football' means. "People who have lived abroad for a long time may talk about experiencing re-culture shock or difficulties in adapting, but Han Ka-ram says this was not the case for him, as spending time with a Korean group in Germany helped him. "When I was in Germany, I spent a lot of time with Korean people. Especially when I was young, I lived in a shared residence with other Koreans and senior players, so it was not difficult to come back to Korea."

Even back in Korea, adjusting to the K League was a challenge. "It wasn't easy. I think any young player coming from Europe or any other country takes time when they come to the K League."

Now in FC Anyang's third season, Han K has become Vice Captain in League 1. "There are so many players, coaches, support staff and so many others, and one has to pay attention to the smallest detail."

Anyang's success was also aided by the 'zombie football' of his coach Ryu Byung-hun. "People in the media call his football 'zombie football', but it means that when we hear from players from other teams, they say we are very strong and connected as a team."

FC Anyang's decisions are also influenced by its passionate fans. "I think football and sport in general are for the club's own purposes, but at the end of the day, a big part of it is decisions."

"We have such devotees, so I truly believe that Anyang's potential is much higher than its current location."
