Brazilian striker Rodrigo Goes has given his comments on the new format of the World Cup 2026. This year, the tournament features 48 teams. Rodrigo, who will miss the tournament due to torn ligaments and meniscus in his right foot, is currently recovering after a successful surgery. He says, "It's interesting that there are more teams in this World Cup. The number of matches has increased, and some teams that normally wouldn't qualify now have a chance. This World Cup is shaping up to be amazing. We often put all our hopes on the favorites, but then we see teams come in the next round that no one expected. It's a lot of fun. I love it." The World Cup 2026 will be held from 11 June to 19 July 2026 in Mexico, USA and Canada. Due to the claim, the Argentine team is the current champion.
