Míchel's project started in Ajax

Míchel has started his project in Ajax. Amsterdammer joined the club for the first time and did his first field training. This has been done with all new staff, while the player group has also received a boost. While the World Cup is overseas, Ajax is busy preparing for the new season. On Thursday, the players arrived at De Toffeywar for the first tests and were introduced to the new staff. Happily Míchel has a large number of players available. At the last World Cup, only four Ajax players remained, including Ko Itakura and Josip Sutalo. Wout Weghorst and Takehiro Tomiyasu are Ajax players only on paper, as their contracts expire on Tuesday. Branco van den Boomen was also absent on Thursday. The 10-year-old midfielder is set to transfer to Angers, where he has performed well on loan over the past half-year. After Chuba Akpom and Sivert Mannsverk, Van den Boomen will become the third player to leave Ajax this summer. This creates an opportunity for Jordi Cruijff to recruit players, especially through Salari. It is no secret that technical directors expect a great quality in Amsterdam. Ajax meanwhile are focusing on players who understand the qualities necessary to perform at the highest level. All of this is being done in close consultation with Míchel, who calls for specific profiles to quickly implement his style of play at Ajax.
