How Scotland's footballers will play in the summer: World Cup 2026 preparations

Scotland's footballers are gearing up to play in tougher conditions due to the temperature in their preparations. Temperatures are expected to reach around 30 degrees Celsius in their World Cup matches, which will require the team to adapt their games against Morocco and Brazil.

Scotland have arranged hydration breaks, ice jackets, cold towels and isotonic drinks for their players, to help them cope with the effects of the heat. The first match against Haiti was played at 25 degrees in Boston, but the match against Morocco will be played at 27 degrees. Scotland's final group game will be against Brazil in Miami, where temperatures are expected to soar above 30 degrees.

Scotland have prepared to handle these temperatures and it is essential that players maintain proper hydration and nutrition. If the players play in the World Cup, they will need water and nutrition. Team players will use different programs for each individual's hydration needs.

Scotland coach Steve Clarke has already said that 26 players will be used in the squad during the World Cup. Hydration breaks are also important in matches, which the team will try to use to rest.

In Scotland's previous matches, they did not have much control of the ball, which will have to be managed with their possession against Morocco and Brazil. Scotland's best players, such as Scott McTominay, John McGinn and Louis Ferguson, have featured in their previous matches.

According to Clarke, Scotland will have to play their matches with warmth and easy control, so that they can perform against Morocco and Brazil.
