Colombia secured a 3-1 win against Uzbekistan, with their veteran star in action. In the first half, Uzbekistan played a strong game, but in the 41st minute, Daniel Munoz headed in a superb pass from Luis Diaz. After that, Uzbekistan celebrated their first tournament goal in the 60th minute, when Eldor Shomurodov's shot was misjudged by goalkeeper Kamilo Vargas and scored by Abbosbek Faizullayev. However, Uzbekistan suffered a mistake from goalkeeper Utkir Yusupov, which allowed Diaz's shot to go wide after five minutes. Jeminton Campaz scored in the closing minutes to seal Colombia's victory. Colombia capitalized on Portugal's mistake with a win in their first match, moving them closer to a chance at the knockout stages.
